General settings

Within the General settings area of a phone system, you can configure a number of key options.

Phone system details

Within the phone system details area you can update the phone system name, billable entity type (this affects call billing) and reference. The Identifier value can not be changed once the phone system has been created.

If you wish, you can update which customer the phone system is linked to for the purposes of billing and invoicing.

Enabling and suspension

Within this area, you can change the status of the phone system. By toggling Enabled off, you will need to choose a suspension reason.

If you choose a financial reason such as Insufficient Credit, outbound calls will be prevented by incoming calls will still reach the system. This is functionality the same as if a phone system runs out of credit.

By selecting reason Other, both inbound, and outbound calls will be prevented.

A number of additional configuration options can be found here, including default CLI withholding, call recording pause/resume enablement, call recording retention time, music on hold sorting, integration enablement and unlimited call bundle purchasing.
