How to register and de-register a Yealink cordless handset.
If you are following this guide and you are not a Dial 9 customer, we would strongly recommend seeking assistance from your communications provider before undertaking the steps below, as the SIP account setup can vary from provider to provider.
To register a Yealink cordless handset manually:
- Press and hold the Paging key on the Yealink base station for 5 seconds. You should see the registration LED start to flash slowly, indicating the base station is in the registration mode.
- Press OK on the handset to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings > Registration > Register Handset. You will now be shown a list of available base stations (Base 1 - Base 4).
- Press Up or Down to highlight the desired base (in most cases this will be Base1), and then press the OK soft key. The handset will now begin to search for the base station.
- Press the OK soft key when the screen displays the identification code of the base station.
- Enter the system PIN (default: 0000).
- Press the Done soft key. The handset will play a tone and show Handset Subscribed, which indicates successful registration.
To de-register a Yealink cordless handset:
- Press Ok on the handset to enter the main menu.
- Select Settings > Registration > De-reg. Handset.
- Enter the system PIN (default: 0000).
- Press the Done soft key. The screen will now display the names of handsets registered to the same base station, the handset itself is highlighted and followed by a left arrow.
- Press Up or Down to highlight the desired handset, and then press the OK soft key. The screen will now show De-register Handset.
- Press the Yes soft key to de-register the handset, or the No to cancel.
