Manually configuring a Gigaset N300 / N510
To set up your Gigaset device you will need access to the Dial 9 Portal to get the extension login details and the Gigaset web UI to enter the details.
If you are not familiar with the process for accessing the Dial 9 portal a guide can be found Here.
To access the web UI for your Gigaset phone you will need to enter the IP address for the Gigaset device in a web browser. The IP address can be found by pressing Settings → System → Base → Local Network on the phone. The default pin for Gigaset devices is 0000.
Once logged in, go to Settings → Telephony → Connections.
Set the Connection Name to something meaningful to yourself. We suggest “Dial 9”.
Under Personal Provider Data enter the following:
- Authentication Name will be the SIP username as provided in the Dial 9 Portal
- Authentication Password will be the SIP password as provided in the Dial 9 Portal
- Username will be the same as Authentication Name
- Display Name can be anything meaningful to you. We suggest the name of the person using this handset as this will appear on called extensions.
Click the Show Advanced Settings button Under General Provider Data enter the following:
- Domain will be sip.dial9.co.uk
- Proxy Server Address can be left blank
- Registrar Server will be sip.dial9.co.uk
- Registration refresh time should be 600 sec
- Stun enabled should be set to No
- NAT refresh time should be 30 sec - you may need to adjust this depending on your particular router/firewall
- Outbound proxy mode should be Never
Click the Set button
